Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton was born on the 19th January, 1946 at Locust Ridge Tenn. She lived alongside 12 other kids. The vivid imagination of her mother was a great way to get away from the harsh realities of everyday life. Before she learned to read and write Dolly Parton had already begun to compose her own music. At the age of 8, she got her first electric guitar. She started singing at an Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. The following year, Gold Band Records was a tiny independent record label. While she was at school, she established a name for herself on the local scene. However, her goal was to to play on a bigger level. The year 1964 was the day after her high school graduation the singer moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. Porter Wagoner began looking for women to sing for his syndicated television program at about the same at the same time. Parton became a member of Grand Ole Opry 1969 after signing in 1969 with RCA Records. In 1974, she resigned from Wagoner's Show because the success of her own songs such as Joshua Coats of Many Colors or Jolene was way ahead of their joint release. Parton's song, I Will Never Love You (for Wagoner), hit the number. 1 spot after they split. 1. for the first time in 1974.
