Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She has written fifteen books, and she is co-founder the magazine The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is a TV host, journalist as well as a philanthropist, author and journalist for more than ten years. Her role also includes being the owner of The Huffington Post, an independent, liberal online newsmagazine. Originally from Greece Arianna Huffington emigrated to England together with her family around age 16. At Cambridge University she earned a MA degree in Economics. In her 21st year, she was president of the renowned debate society The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign born student to do so. After her graduation, she became a prominent Conservative syndicated journalist. In the years after that she launched The Huffington Post which featured criticism of the present political landscape. Her celebrity status helped her by attracting a variety of high-profile contributors to share their opinions on news, politics, and other topics. Arianna gained fame when she made the decision to contest as an independent candidate in the California recall election in order to succeed then Governor Davis. Aside from that, Arianna was also the leader of the Detroit initiative that promoted fuel efficient cars. Forbes identified her the most powerful woman in media in the year 2009. She ranked in the 12th spot on Forbes' list. The Guardian also included her on the list of top 100 media in 2009. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post, and she was named the president of this group. The acquisition included a number of AOL properties at that time, including Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos is a daughter of Konstantinos the manager's advisor as well as journalist. Though she shared a close connection to her mother and father but it was their connection which shaped her. Through her early times, she demonstrated abilities to lead, and for this she is still well-known. As a 16-year-old the girl moved to the United Kingdom for her higher education.
