Kate Beckinsale

Kathrin Romany Beckinsale (born 26 July 1973)[1][2][3] is an English actress and model. Her first film appearance came after a few small television parts. She was a student at Oxford University at the time of Much Ado About Nothing (1993). Alongside numerous radio and stage productions, she starred in British costumes-driven dramas such as Cold Comfort Farm (1995), Emma (1996), and Shooting Fish (1997). In the latter part of the 1990s, Beckinsale began film work in America. After appearing in small-scale dramas The Last Days of Disco (1998) and Brokedown Palace (1999), she starred in the war-themed drama Pearl Harbor (2001), the romantic comedy Serendipity (2001) as well as Tiptoes (2003). Then she starred in the aforementioned films with her starring parts in The Aviator (2004) and Click (2006). These films established her as a protagonist in Hollywood.Since acting as Selene in the Underworld film series (2003-2016), Beckinsale has been a household name for her work in action films, including Van Helsing (2004), Whiteout (2009), Contraband (2012), and Total Recall (2012). She continues to make appearances in less dramatic projects, like Snow Angels (2007), Nothing but the Truth (2008) as well as Everybody's Fine (2009). In the first two films, she received positive reviews. She was nominated for the Critics ' Choice Film Award for the Best Actress In the Comedy Love & Friendship in 2016. Jolt (2021) was her second film. She was also in two television shows with Jolt (2021) and The Widow (202019).
